If you have been thinking about building, but have some questions or are not quite sure where to start, come on in and visit our Display Suite located at 209 Elizabeth Street, Hobart.
Tara and Stacey are available to talk you through the Cunic Homes building process and show you inclusions and upgrades from our SmartStart, Contemporary Living and Luxe Living ranges.
In this phase, if you haven’t already been in to see us and our Hobart Display Suite, you’ll meet with the Cunic Homes team and go through our Preliminary Works Agreement. This includes a site inspection, contour survey, geotechnical (soil) report and the development of a concept floor plan, as well as an estimate.
We’ll then work with you to finalise the plans and quote, before things get real and you’ll sign the building contract and pay your deposit!
During the approvals phase, we’ll arrange for your plans to be prepared for council submission (DA), and for structural engineering and energy assessments to take place.
Our favourite bit is then helping you through the selections process – where you’ll work with our designers to select all the fixtures and finishes that personalise your build and will really make your home your own. With our extensive range of samples, you’ll see how your home will look and how it’s all going to fit together!
The next part of the process is to work with you to finalise the plans and get all your selections signed off, before we embark on the second stage of council submission (BA), engage a building surveyor and obtain final council approval for the build to begin.
In this phase, you’ll be introduced to your project manager, who will keep you in the loop with project updates, and flag any changes that might require your input.
The construction phase is one of the most exciting phases as you’ll begin to see your home take shape! Once the build is complete, we’ll also manage the process to obtain your Occupancy Certificate and council certification.
Handing over the keys is the best part – for you and for us! – but that’s not the end of the process, as we’ll be here for you for a 90 day period of customer care, in which we will work with you to ensure any final maintenance issues are resolved.
